Rumoured: iPad mini
Apple could be releasing a miniature version of the iPad which could be heading our way around August according to the latest reports.
The move by Apple to produce a smaller tablet may be a way to fight back against the up and coming release of the Windows 8 tablets and the Samsung’s Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 which is set to be released this month.
The device is rumoured to be a replica of the iPad but only 7.85inches tall compared to the current 9.7inch iPads. The iPad mini is set to have a 1024x768 resolution display which isn’t quite as good as the new iPad’s Retina Display but will still pack in 163ppi.
The iPad mini is rumoured to have been given a $250 (£155) starting price rising to $299 (£185) depending on hard drive options.
This rumour may be exciting for Apple fans who find the current iPad a little too costly but with 6 million rumoured to be on the way getting your hands on the iPad mini shouldn’t be too difficult.
